Our Shops

Before the guest harbour, the shoreline was once home to Laura Peterzéns’ silk screen studio and shop. The silk screen operation is no longer running, but in its place you’ll now find three lovely shops.

You can explore the Design Shop and the Seaside interior store right by the waterfront, or take a short one-kilometre walk to the Factory Outlet, located in Peterzéns’ former print hall, for some great finds.

There's always something worth finding — come and have a look!

The Design Shop and Seaside open on 29 May, and the Factory Outlet on 19 June.

Design Shop – Clothes for the Archipelago

The Design Shop carries a carefully selected range of clothing with a relaxed, timeless feel. Every brand is chosen with an eye for natural materials, classic cuts and good details – clothes that look good year after year.

You'll find brands including Gant, Sebago, Soaked in Luxury, MSCH Copenhagen, Saint Tropez, DKNY, Joules, Masai, Atelier Reve, Sea Ranch, Marc Lauge and Costamani.

Open during restaurant hours, at least 9am–6pm, throughout the summer season.

Seaside – Homeware and Gifts

Seaside is a homeware and gift shop where Finnish craftsmanship takes centre stage. You'll find Esko Lehtinen's handmade birch baskets and trays, Maritta Tanhuanpää's felted wool slippers and Margit Hakanen's unique bird ceramics.

This year, Mari Teerinkoski's painted driftwood birds are also on sale on the restaurant walls, and jewellery designer Henna Renforsin's sea-inspired pieces have been one of the shop's most popular finds.

If you're looking for something special to take home or aboard, or a gift for someone who appreciates quality and craftsmanship, Seaside is the place. We're always on the lookout for unique products from the archipelago – if you know of something, we'd love to hear about it.

Open during restaurant hours, at least 9am–6pm, throughout the summer season.

Factory Outlet – Great Finds

If you enjoy hunting for a good deal, the Factory Outlet is worth the visit. A kilometre from the shore stands a granite barn built by great-great-grandfather in the 1800s. In the 1980s, Laura Peterzéns used it to hand-print fabrics and the building has kept its own special character ever since.

Inside you'll find previous seasons' collections at 30–70% off. Take your time going through the rails and tables – the best finds come to those who look properly.

The walk from the shore takes about 15 minutes and is a lovely way to see a little more of Peterzéns.

Open 19 June–2 August, 11am–5pm.

Everything Is Carefully Chosen

Nothing ends up in our shops by accident. Leontina personally goes through every collection with the same discerning eye inherited from grandmother Peterzéns. Natural materials, classic cuts, good details and a fair price are the guiding principles.

But what matters most is the whole picture – that all the brands and products work together and complement each other. That kind of harmony doesn't happen by chance.

Come and Have a Look

The shops are open to everyone and there's always a warm welcome. If you're travelling the Archipelago Trail by bike or by car, Peterzéns is a natural place to stop – and the shops fit nicely alongside a harbour lunch or a day of activities.

Factory Outletia varten kannattaa varata hetki enemmän aikaa, sillä vanha navettarakennus ja sen löytöpöydät ansaitsevat rauhallisen kierroksen.

Stay for Something to Eat

After a wander around the shops, it's nice to sit down for a moment. On the sunny terrace you can enjoy salmon soup, toast skagen on archipelago bread or just a coffee in the summer sunshine. The popular archipelago buffet is served during the busiest weeks of the season.
